Last week saw the end of an era in the Glass House electorate office as Alaina said goodbye to move on to another position in a Federal office. I will always be grateful for Alaina’s dedication not only to me, but to the people of Glass House in the nearly eight years she has worked with me. Thank you Alaina!
In between our sad farewells, it was a busy week in the electorate. I attended the Maleny Visitor Information Centre’s AGM followed by a Business and Government Forum hosted by the Sunshine Coast Business Council. At the Forum I got to meet and listen to Professor Peter Newman from Curtin University who shared some great insights into delivering public transport infrastructure.
The LNP annual convention at the end of the week once again provided a great forum to discuss potential policies and ideas that will see our great state move forward. I was able to address the Convention during a forum on Regional and Rural Policy issues.
I finished the week off by attending celebrations at the Palmwoods Scout Den to commemorate 100 years of Scouts in Queensland.
