Out and About with Andrew – week ending Sunday 12 June

As part of my responsibilities as the Shadow Minister for Transport and Main Roads and Local Government, I was able to visit towns of Mareeba and Georgetown last week.  It was a great experience to see first hand some of the road, transport and local Government issues that are present in these areas and meet personally with the Mayors and their staff to gain a better understanding of some of the challenges they face due to their remote locations.

Closer to home, I had meetings in my office with constituents, attended the opening of Gardening on the Edge, the official opening of the Nambour Show, soccer with the kids, a press conference following the Government’s Transport Review and attended the Bankfoot House AGM.
