This week’s Parliamentary session saw the release of the state Budget for 2015. It is pretty safe to say that it was pretty disappointing for Glass House with no money being allocated for any new local projects and certainly no funding for big infrastructure items like the North Coast Rail Duplication. My job now as the local Member is to continue to fight for the North Coast Rail Duplication project and many others in the Glass House electorate.
Once back in the electorate on the weekend, I managed to get to quite a few local events including the celebrations for the Delaneys Creek Rural Fire Brigade’s 50th anniversary, present the Palmwoods Cricket Club with a certificate recognising their successful grant application and also held a mobile office in Glasshouse Mountains.
