Out and About week ending 7 June 2015

In between Parliament sessions during the past few weeks I have managed to attend lots of Glass House events and celebrations and catch up with many locals in my travels. My thanks are extended to those who dropped by my office last week for our Queensland Week celebrations. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate all that is Queensland than with a cuppa and a piece of pineapple cake. The long weekend was full of other activities including the annual monthly dinner at the Wamuran Sports Club and the official opening of the Caboolture Show where I also participated in a Masterchef style Cooking Master Class sponsored by 101.5FM Radio.

I also caught up with Bill Hauritz and my colleagues Adrian Raedel and Wyatt Roy at The Planting which is an annual festival held at the Woodfordia site. The Planting is quickly becoming a true festival in its own right and I would encourage people to add this event to their calendars for next year as it is well worth attending.
