Glass House locals will get a unique chance to cheer on the Queensland Maroons from the sidelines by voting for their favourite State of Origin themed birth certificate in a state-wide competition launched this week.
Member for Glass House, Andrew Powell MP, said Maroons supporters could pick one of four specially designed commemorative certificates and the most popular design would be introduced for public sale.
“Queenslanders are a proud bunch and these certificates are a special way for families to show their passion for the game’s most prestigious battle,” Mr Powell said.
“Any Queensland citizen, regardless of what year they were born, can register for one of these certificates so it’s important we hear from as many fans as possible.
“It doesn’t take long to vote and when you do, you’ll know you’ve played a part in a very special moment in Origin’s commemorative history.
“Fans in Glass House will have until midnight Friday, June 20 to have their say and I’d love to see one of them win the double pass to game three at Suncorp Stadium.
“It will be even better knowing that someone in Glass House has created their own piece of Queensland history by selecting the winning design.”
