Member for Pumicestone, Lisa France announced today that Jann Stuckey, Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Businesses and Commonwealth Games will be visiting Caboolture to listen to what is important to the local business community.
This joint initiative is supported by Member for Morayfield, Darren Grimwade and Andrew Powell, Member for Glass House who will be holding a small business forum with Mrs France at the Caboolture Hub on 14th March.
“Small Business is the backbone of our economy and this is an opportunity for local business to meet their State Member and provide feedback to the Minister on what is
important to them”, Mr Grimwade said.
Mr Powell encourages businesses in his electorate to come along to meet with him and participate in the Q & A session that Minister Stuckey will conduct.
“It is no secret that our business community has taken a battering in recent years and I think collectively we can try to pinpoint key changes to the industry that will take the pressure off our struggling small business community,” Mr Powell commented.
“Building a strong local business community is a key commitment of mine and listening to small business owners is vital in sustaining the local economy,” Mrs France said.
The forum is from 6.00pm-7.00pm with an opportunity to speak to your State Member before the event from 5.30pm-6.00pm.
