Nominations now open for 3rd annual Glass House Volunteer Awards (April 2012)

It gives me great pleasure to announce that nominations have opened for the third annual Glass House Volunteer Award ceremony.

The ceremony will be held to coincide with National Volunteer Week, this year being celebrated from 14 to 20 May with a theme of ‘Volunteers – Every One Counts’.

The purpose of National Volunteer Week is to say ‘thanks’ to the many tireless volunteers that we have working within our community.

The work performed by volunteers can sometimes be taken for granted or overlooked which is why this week of celebration and appreciation of their hard work is so important.

This year I am pleased to say we have written to over 250 community groups and associations.  Nominations close on Friday 27 April and I encourage anyone wishing to make a nomination to click on the form attached. Nomination Form 2012

As in previous years we will be having a morning tea after the award ceremony so that the volunteers can have the chance to enjoy a cuppa and chat to some of their fellow dedicated volunteers.
