On Thursday 6 and Friday 7 October I will be treating Shadow Minister Jann Stuckey MP to the good old hospitality Glass House is renowned for.
Jann’s Shadow Portfolio covers Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business so she will have no trouble relating to the challenges and struggles that business operators have faced on the Sunshine Coast, and specifically Glass House, in recent times. The January floods have impacted significantly on the tourism industry in the Hinterland region particularly, so it will be great to have Jann on hand to lend support to this industry which has struggled to find its feet.
Jann will be the guest speaker at a cocktail event in Glasshouse Mountains on Thursday 6 October and then a breakfast in Maleny on Friday 7 October. I will also be taking Ms Stuckey on a tour through Montville to meet and greet local business owners.
I have attached the invitations to each of these events below. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
Jann has also formulated a small business survey that encourages operators to identify burdensome regulations and red tape so that the LNP can develop policies that will make it easier to progress tourism and small businesses in Glass House.
