The focus in Parliament for many of the members this week has been Caloundra South. Personally, I have serious concerns with the State Government taking over this development, not the least of which being that they’ve done just that, taken it over. The LNP has committed to restraining the use of Ministerial Call-in powers and will only do so after extensive community consultation. My other concerns focus on maintaining the green inter-urban corridor between Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast and the environmental quality of the Pumicestone Passage and it’s catchment. I’m also keen to see public transport solutions delivered before the population arrives, not after.
