Parents in Caboolture’s north east get ready! Enrolments at the region’s newest state school will be opening in November this year.
I’m proud to say I was part of the LNP government that identified the need for an additional school in this region and as the local member he is thrilled to see it is on track.
The steady growth in the Caboolture region is plain for all to see so it is not at all surprising that a new school was needed to accommodate the families that are choosing to settle in this area.
We want our kids to have the best chance at a quality education so planning for growth and ensuring we the right number of schools in the area is paramount.
The new school will front onto Cottrill Road, with the school’s main bus, car and pedestrian access for parents also off Cottrill Road. To accommodate this, and to allow for the extension of Cottrill Road through to Pumicestone Road, a new four way signalised intersection will be constructed at Ardrossan Road. This new link road however will not be fully operational until the end of 2017.
This is exciting news for our community. It reflects the changing needs of our region and shows the importance of planning for growth.
